Michel de Saint Ouen
I know absolutely nothing at all about this artist. A google search reveals next to nothing. He has no web page, no blog, all I know is that he's a member of Society for Art of the Imagination and he produces evocative black ink drawings which look like old relics.

Ernst Fuchs
Ernst Fuchs is a visionary painter who is credited with inventing the Mische technique . It's a laborious process involving layering glazes of oil over detailed egg tempera paintings. It is widely believed to be a resurrection of the method of painting of old Dutch artists. You can see in the paintings below that the colours are unbelievable.

Joe Coleman
There's not much you can really say about Joe Coleman, he's one of the more famous "lowbrow" artists. I love the literal/storytelling nature of the work and it's obsessive attention to detail.

Laurie Lipton
Laurie Lipton is an artist from the UK who specialises in highly detailed surreal pencil drawings. Pencil is one of those mediums that people associate with old fashioned or unrefined art, but she is one of many examples where the art is not restricted by the medium.

I want to keep blethering to a minimum and concentrate solely on images and links to the original content etc. I hope you find these interesting or helpful!
